CLASS OF 2027 NEWSLETTER - JULY 28, 2025
Junior Year | 2025-2026

Dear Class of 2027 Parents,

With only a few more days before the Class of 2027 starts their Junior year at North Atlanta, you may be experiencing a range of nerves, dread, and excitement happening all at once for your student and yourself! We all got this!

Our student's Counselor, Ms. Kaye Boykin, has some updates below to get us started for the school year. She is connected with all of our students via Remind. If you're not on Remind and want her info firsthand, please find below.

I'm continuing to support communications for the Class of 2027 and PTSA. If you are interested in helping out, please let the PTSA know or send email to nahsclass2027@gmail.com. If you're also interested in being part of the class committees towards the end of the year to prep for spring break, senior year, etc., please reach out.

Here's to a great year!

KAYE'S CORNER
Welcome Back, Class of 2027 – Let’s Make This Year Count!

Dear Juniors,

Welcome back, trailblazers! We’re thrilled to have you return for what promises to be a transformative year. As you step into this new chapter after IB MYP, you’re not just walking familiar hallways—you’re stepping into a season of growth, challenge, and opportunity.

Junior year is a significant milestone in your high school journey. Whether you're enrolled in International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), Dual Enrollment, or ACCA courses, your dedication to academic excellence is truly inspiring. This year may stretch you—but most importantly, it will also shape you.

You’re not alone. Your teachers, counselors, and administrators are here to support you every step of the way. Lean on your resources, ask questions, collaborate with peers, and seek guidance when needed. Success isn’t just measured by grades—it’s reflected in your resilience, curiosity, and growth.

Balance is key in all you do. While academics are important, your well-being matters just as much. Prioritize rest, nutrition, and moments of joy. Celebrate your progress and embrace each learning opportunity with confidence.

Set the tone for a successful year:

  • Stay organized – Use planners, apps, or calendars to manage your time and assignments.

  • Ask for help – Support is always within reach—just ask.

  • Stay connected - Join Cohort 2027 REMIND (code:  @nahs2027) and Google Classroom (code:  udw6d6g).

  • Take care of yourself – Balance leads to sustainable success.

  • Stay curious – Let your love of learning guide you, even when things get tough.

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."
— Winston Churchill

We believe in you and are here to help you thrive. Let’s make this year one of purpose, progress, and pride that comes from giving our best.

Wishing you a strong start—and an even stronger finish!

With kind regards,

Kaye Boykin – Cohort 2027 Junior Counselor

Georgia state law requires that all children 16 years of age and older, who are entering the 11th grade, must have received one booster dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine to protect against meningococcal disease, unless their initial dose was administered on or after their 16th birthday (unless the child has an exemption).

All students entering into 11th grade will need proof of a meningococcal booster shot (MCV4). All immunizations must be documented on the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231). Your student must have documentation of receiving the required vaccines before the first day of school. 11th graders must have the required MCV4 to attend class.
